How it all started
The Vision
While our founder, Emma, has been in the hair industry for over 10 years, Lavage Haircare was officially born in 2019. And it all started off the back of a phone call with a friend. The discussion centred around a single dilemma – looming work deadlines meant that Emma’s friend had zero time to get a wig ready for a social event that she planned to attend that weekend. There was no time to drop her designated wig off at the salon, and even less time for her to attempt to wash and style it herself.
Lightbulb moment!
It was obvious to Emma that this was a real gap in the wig and hair extension market, and that there was a need for a service that would take the stress of care and maintenance off wig-wearers in an efficient and convenient way. While there were ‘add-on’ options available by hair stylists and vendors, premium services that focused solely on caring for wigs and extensions were few and far between.
The Mission
Emma began her mission. To build and create a customer-centric, premium brand that would cater to all wigs and hair extension wearers, and ultimately help them connect with their most beautiful, confident selves. With her industry experience, tried and tested treatments and passion for superior customer service, Emma knew she had something unique to offer the world.
